Major life transitions like leaving the protected environment of the school or start a new career can be daunting. AND 'frightening than a wall of choices, knowing that nobody will tell us whether we can make the right decision. There is no clearly defined path or a recipe for success. Even knowing how and where to start can be challenging. That is, until now. As director of Stanford Technology Ventures Program Tina Seelig guide their students asthe difficult transition from the academic world and offers professional practical skills and insights that will last a lifetime. Seelig is an entrepreneur, a neuroscientist and professor popular, and how I wish I knew when I was 20, tells us what it offers to its students, provoking stories, tips for inspiration, and a large dose of humility and humor . Tina Seelighas a PhD in neuroscience at Stanford School of Medicine and is the executive director ofStanford Technology Ventures Program is the entrepreneurship center at Stanford University School of Engineering. Addition, Seelig teaches courses in entrepreneurship and innovation in the Department of Management Science and Engineering and Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University. This event took place May 20, 2009 by Google in Mountain View, CA office as part of the Authors @ Google series.
